~Newton Sunday Sindo~
George and I seem to share a lot in life. I am an African man, aged slightly above 45 years; he was 46 years on the day of his death. He was married with children so I am. After struggling with sin of drug addiction and other spiritual strongholds, God saved him.
“After Floyd's release, he became more involved with Resurrection Houston, a Christian church and ministry, where he mentored young men. He helped his mother Cissy exercise and recuperate after she had a stroke. He delivered meals, and assisted on other projects with Angel By Nature Foundation, a charity founded by rapper Trae tha Truth. Later he became involved with a ministry that brought men from the Third Ward to Minnesota in a church-work program with drug rehabilitation and job placement services.”

I also have a lot of shortfalls but Jesus saved me and even now, I am not living a perfect life.
I should state here that I never thought (in this 21st century) someone would be brutally murdered just like George because of racial difference. This is heart-breaking, traumatizing and shameful.
As a Christian from an old church which was founded by David Livingstone and some missionaries from England, and having ministered with people from all over the world, I feel so emotionally feeble and can’t take it into reality that such evil can happen in a country that has been the example to humanity. We are all human beings and equal.
In the early days of Christianity in my country, black people were regarded as second-class people even by Christian leaders, but now we are all brothers and sisters in the Lord. I have enjoyed friendship and brotherhood with people of different colours, and in such, we have together appreciated the greatness of the grace of God.
I, hereby, ask for forgiveness from anyone who, deep down their hearts, feel to have been injured by me through word, conduct or anyway because of their race, tribe, religion or any difference. I repent with shame and sorrow. Forgive me!
For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
