A NEW YEAR!

HAPPY NEW YEAR... AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT IN 2020

In December you received a Christmas greeting from Newton Sindo and his family with a request for $20,000 U.S. for drilling three boreholes (wells) and enhancing FVM's educational programs.

Your gifts in the true Christmas spirit helped us reach and surpass that goal. Zikomo kwambiri!! Thank you also to all of you who gave so generously throughout 2020 ... not an easy year for anyone.
Newton and his team in Malawi have already completed the three new wells and funds have been forwarded to expand educational opportunities.

Enjoy the following pictures, each one is worth 1,000 words.

Some highlights...

This past month, 113 children (55 from Taulo Centre and 58 from Nandolo Centre) graduated from preschool to formal primary school.  These are some proud 6 year olds!

This makes more than 1,100 children who have graduated from preschool to formal primary school since 2010 when FVM started to provide preschool services in Southern Malawi.

12 caregivers (teaching volunteers) underwent a two-week intensive training at Association of Early Childhood Development in Malawi (AECDM) from December 6-18, 2020.  This will give teaching volunteers new skills and resources that will be put to good use in the preschool program.

A 3-day marriage workshop was conducted in both communities. The participants represented 36 families.

Please join us in praying for John Rule, a humble and dedicated servant of God who has poured his heart and soul (and considerable financial management skills!) into our Malawian family.

Thank you again for your ongoing interest and support of FVM in Malawi.
