~Living in the Rainy Season~
- The heavy rains received in Malawi this time of year can be disastrous for families living in poorly constructed homes. FVM has been working at maintaining five houses of volunteers, one of which could have collapsed in the heavy rains if it was not maintained.
- The community members have been working in the crop fields to produce some food for their children, however, the large amount of rain has negatively affected the growth of the crops. The food produced in these crop fields is needed to help feed the 413 children who daily come to the Taulo Nursery School for education and nutritional support.
- No Community Bible Study has been done since January 2020 because of the continued rainfall. The village roads have been impassable with travel being treacherous and dangerous.
- The two weekly radio broadcasts continue with minor challenges such as loss of signal because the main saver that belongs to Malawi Telecommunication LTD was gutted with fire two months ago.
HELLO...I AM...
Working as a volunteer with Future Vision Ministries has shaped me in various ways. I have a sense of responsibility, care and support for the children and my fellow community members.
