Recap : Maternal mortality rate in Malawi is 439/100,00 compared to 10/100,000 in Canada. One in four teenage girls is a mother and adolescent pregnancies comprise 29% of all births and lead to 15% of maternal deaths in Malawi.
FVM has established a multi-year program to bring awareness and relevant resources through local African leaders, partners and staff to address these challenges.
